ROLLS-ROYCE LTD NIGHTINGALE ROAD DERBY V1770 EFC Dear Sir, Owing to the continuous fluctuations of the market and consequent increased necessity of our representative visiting our numerous suppliers, it has become impossible for Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} P. Whitehead personally to carry out the important supervision of our Supplies Department at Derby, and at the same time spend a considerable proportion of his time visiting suppliers away from the Works. We have therefore appointed Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce to carry out in future that portion of the work which necessitates visiting suppliers, and to act as our Buyer. This will of course in no way affect the position occupied by Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} P. Whitehead as Head of our Supply Department at Derby, as he will continue the same duties in organising this Department as heretofore, with the exception that matters relating to the purchase price and buying of material will be dealt with by Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce. FOR AND ON BEHALF OF ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED, C. JOHNSON, Managing Director. Registered Office, Derby, October 24th, 1921. | ||
