PROPOSED LENGTH 4.00" Origin. To reduce front braking. Experimental Test Report. This alteration to the lever length reduces the percentage of braking to the front to 33%. The present front braking is 40% of the total. Road Test Report. This alteration is considered desirable to prevent the steering being affected when braking on corners.
