It is found that in some cases more room is asked for in the body than that given in 26-EX. We have two alternatives to offer - (a) A long chassis. (b) Move the rear seat cushion back. We rule out (1) for reasons of policy already discussed. We can do (2) if we are permitted to have the N.2. series battery box cantilever support in the place of the present tube. We would like you to say exactly what trouble this would cause to Works - (1) If in some cases we asked that it be fitted. (2) If it be put on all the continental chassis in future, As you will be aware it is standardised for N.2. series, and will come in on the continental chassis automatically then. We are anxious to have your reply in order to obtain orders from several customers who need the slightly larger body space. Kindly send us a copy of your reply to SG.{Arthur F.
