For Mr. Leslie's attention

Dear Mr. Leslie,

I find that the pair of shocks that we tried here yesterday were not the ones that had just come off my car; they were an early type with a fixed orifice one way and a spring-loaded valve the other. Apparently the spring-loaded valve - which was a flat one - was making the noise we heard.

The castings are progressing satisfactorily and I think you will be able to have the set of four shocks in time for your requirements.

Yours sincerely,

p.p. THE GORDON ARMSTRONG
PATENT SUSPENSION CO.LTD.
