I am enclosing standardisation sheets as follows:-
X.2764. Valves. To overcome exhaust valve failures. How many cars does the £253 represent? Does H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} agree that the matter is so urgent that we should lose this £253 in order to make this alteration immediately?

(Struck through) X.4238. Exhaust Pipe lagged with asbestos. To reduce heat under scuttle.
