S/W Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} To Bx, from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re Bentley. 2094 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E28.10.36 You will remember at the last conference at Derby we discussed the question of the unnecessary over-revving of engine on the lower gears and it was decided to issue a pamphlet for inclusion in the Instruction Book. Reference to your copy of the 17,000 miles report on 6-B-IV will emphasize the importance of this. I should like to know, therefore, what action has been taken on this point, how soon the pamphlet will be ready and whether it is agreed that the matter is of sufficient importance to send a copy to all existing owners of 4¼-litre Bentleys.
