-2- We now wish to offer a simple, acceptable and final solution to the trouble, but we are afraid it means more cost. We want the offside lamp also to be fitted with a dipping reflector but handed so that it dips to the right when in use for Continental conditions. Two wires will be required to each lamp in place of two to the N.S. and one to the O.S. as at present standard, and by changing over the wires in the lamps themselves, only, the dip and switch arrangement can be reversed from the near-side to the off-side. Diagrams are given herewith. It should be added that this is a matter of extreme urgency as there are quite a number of these lamps already in the hands of owners that cannot be converted for Continental use without considerable modification, and even then both head-lamps will be on one fuse.
