To O/KB, from Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/RC.{R. Childs} Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/RC.{R. Childs}6/ST.17.9.40. re O.M. 38033 In November 1938, we ran into trouble on the Wraith production due to the cams of Delco-Remy distributor not being hard enough and, in consequence, premature wearing of the contact lever rubbing pad occurred. On the matter being taken up with the makers, they agreed to scrap all their existing stock and replace, free of charge, any faulty cams in our possession. We agreed to check our existing stock and return faulty cams for replacement. In order not to stop production our existing units were taken off engines a few at a time and checked by Mr. Smedley's Department. The above order number was provided for this work and is not chargeable to Messrs. Delco-Remy. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/RC.{R. Childs} | ||
