DESIGN OF ENOTS NIPPLE FOR AXLE LUBRICATION.
Replying to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GY1/LG22529, we understand that you have actually got special Enots nipples with non-return valve, and are getting nipples for the rear axle supply, which have in addition a filter similar to the front axle. If this is so we should be much obliged if you could send us either drawings or samples of these nipples. BY's dept. have asked us to send them a design for the non-return valve and rear axle filter, but if these parts are to be made outside by Messrs Benton & Stone we think it would be better to use their actual pieces, provided they appear to be satisfactory.
The dimensions of the filter to the back axle will have to be closely watched as the nipple comes very near to the battery cross member and heelboard as it is.
