X 3117 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ltd.9/KT. February 13th 1933. Donald Sessions & Co, Ltd., 906, Harrow Road, Willesden, London. N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Donald Sessions. Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge, with thanks, receipt of your letter of the 11th inst. We are afraid that it will not be possible to return the first batch of jacks to you. The majority of them have left the works, and are distributed amongst coachbuilders throughout the country. We do not expect to have any complaints with regard to the stiffness of operation; even at the worst it is not very bad, and we know that with use it will disappear. The cost involved in collecting, changing over and rectifying the jacks is not, we think, warranted by the complaint. As we know that future batches of jacks will be free from this defect, we think no action should be taken. With regard to the car on the Continent, this is fitted with the original set of jacks which you personally brought up and fitted; these we know are satisfactory in this respect. We much appreciate your attitude in being anxious to let us have only a 100% job. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
