Manchester. Dear Sirs, Re Care of 6 EXE 5 Batteries. We received from you about a week ago, a number of your latest booklets No.2009 of instructions for charging and operating batteries in ebonite boxes, and we note that these instructions differ materially from previous instructions contained in booklet No.2004, upon which we have been working, also from instructions contained on the battery itself. We refer more particularly to the instructions regarding the first charge of batteries in a dry condition, and we attach a copy of a table indicating a few of these points. We have not yet completed our own chassis instruction book, although we are a good way towards this, but we have made up a section dealing with the care of the batteries, which was based upon the instructions contained on the battery and in the 1918 booklet already referred to as No.2004. Owing, however, to the fact that it is desired to shorten these pages, if possible, we are taking the opportunity of submitting these to you, in according with your verbal offer during our recent visit to your works, so that you may give us the necessary recommendations for Cont.d | ||
