6011 AC-SPHINX SPARKING PLUG Co. LTD. DIRECTORS: N.F. Stockbridge, W.O.Kennington, C.J.Bartlett. Telegrams: SPHINX.DUNSTABLE. DUNSTABLE, BEDS., ENGLAND. Telephone: DUNSTABLE 360. Our Ref. NFS/GEB. Your Ref. 12th June, 1937. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. For the Attention of Mr. H.E. West. Dear Mr. West, Further to my telephone conversation with you, this is just a note to confirm that I think it would be mutually helpful if you could arrange to call here the next time you come this way, as I want to show you our latest development on our aircraft plug job (which seems very healthy); while, following Mr. Browne's visit to Derby this week, there are also some car items which I think we could usefully review. With regard to the further samples of aircraft plugs for you, we have just received the long-awaited bar of Invar steel. We have the insulators ready and are therefore proceeding to make up the samples. I am anxious to push on with these as I am now inclined to feel that we are reaching finality in meeting endurance requirements. Yours truly, N. F.{Mr Friese} STOCKBRIDGE, Managing Director.
