STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts.
REMOVING THE END THREADS FROM PIECE NO. 3233.A.
Origin.
Suggested by Springfield to prevent threads being damaged.
Experimental Test Report.
This alteration consists of removing the end threads - the reason for this is that if the end is hammered in order to remove the taper socker for the tie rod the thread is not damaged.
Road Test Report.
No road tests necessary. It cannot effect runnign of the car. Derby do not look upon this as an essential alteration because we never find it necessary to hammer the threads to remove the tie rods. We have no objection to it.
