C. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C. to Swindall. 1049 18.1.35. BUICK (MARVEL) CARBURETTER. Accelerator pump disconnected. 13.95 M.P.G. 109 Miles/av. speed 40 M.P.H./2 Hrs. 40 Mins. Accelerator Pump Connected. 13.31 M.P.G. 109 Miles/Av. speed 40.9 M.P.H./2 Hrs. 40 Mins. Tested on the following route - Ashbourne, Buxton, Chapel, Glossop, Ashopton, Bamford, Rowsley, Matlock, & R.{Sir Henry Royce} With accelerator pump disconnected, the carburation is weak at 40 M.P.H. and below for acceleration either part or full throttle. This becomes worse with the lower speeds. Above 40/45 M.P.H. carburation becomes normal. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Ratcliffe. | ||
