With reference to our test of the E.A.C. which had done 10,000 miles and the E.A.C. which was just starting the 10,000 miles test, we were agreeably surprised to find the excellent condition of the car which had just returned (apart, of course, from the minor trouble of shrieking brake, probable due to excessive wear, and sticking throttle, which doubtless can be overcome). Altogether we considered the performance of this car in France most remarkable, considering the very severe test and the fact that the car was practically on its first real trial.

we were very impressed with the general qualities of the car which was just starting.

The explosions in the exhaust whilst running appear to have decreased, although they are still present. We hope that it may be found possible eventually to get rid of them altogether, as we feel sure that some customers will complain.

Of course it is still realised that the steering is too excessively stiff when trying to turn at anything like a sharp angle, and this seems to be the one great difficulty of the car.

it is hoped that later it may be found possible to have a front axle control torque rod or some other means which will enable us to return to our standard front springs which made the springing of the car so much more comfortable before the introduction of the front wheel brakes.

P.S. We understand that the car which is starting its 10,000 miles test is what will be delivered to customers, with the exception of:
(1) Radiator shutter control;
(2) Wiring;
(3) Fabric coupling of new design.
