Design General. 1125 Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/JH.28.8.40. re Programme of Work. We have already set out a list of designs for the cars of the Senior Range, which it was agreed you would be able to carry out. These are tabulated in the minutes - Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}6/JH.7.8.40. Some new detail work will be coming through but there will be a period when this is scarce until we are in a position to issue schemes for the completion of Myth. The engine will soon be released in part at least. We feel that there must be still quite a lot of work left for you to do on the Senior Range of cars, even though all the available schemes have been detailed up to date. We have completely "buttoned-up" the specification of each model for production and Exptl. Development by means of a specification. Certain design work is outstanding and we with your help are going to clean that up. It is felt that we should not rest until each section on each specification has an L.O.P. number against it. We suggest that you should go through each specification in turn and where designs complete, provide the L.O.P. and fill it in on the specification. Secondly, each car should have an index sheet for the L.O.P.'s. These can be in the course of being compiled even though there may be blanks due to schemes still being outstanding. Lastly, every section on every specification needs an arrangement drawing. We suggest that this work is even more important than the detailing of new work if we recall the first purpose for which we were assembled together, namely to fully define and button up the Production Models of the Senior Range.
