Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}12/K.24.2.36. Bentley Big End Bearings. We recommend that no further lead bronze big end bearings should be fitted to customers' cars. The Hall's metal big end bearings which have been standardised for the big bore Bentley appear to have just the same life as the lead bronze bearings, and they have a great advantage in that they are fitted up with white metal clearances. This eliminates the possibility of complaints of high oil consumption, which occasionally have been recorded after lead bronze has been fitted. Hall's metal bearings are now available for fitting instead of the lead bronze, and can be obtained from production. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} | ||
