Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}, 9-2-14.
Mr Harkness informs us that he demonstrated to Mr Haldenby on Friday the 6th that they had a car in the Repair Dept. which had a bad steering wobble that could not be cured by simply correcting the alignment of the front pivots.
We shall be glad if you will confirm.

Mr Harkness showed me a car with wobbling steering. I do not know what condition the steering gear was in or what the tilt of the axle was. I saw the car for not more than 5 minutes and did not examine it, there being not enough time. The car had evidently been in for repair and was shown to me just before being sent away. The driver was waiting to take delivery while it was being shown to me.
I should like to have a car for a little while which he could not cure of wobbles. He promised to let me have one as soon as possible.
