The exhaust manifold when taken off was found to be cracked on the inside of the centre port, and front flange fell off as soon as it was touched. The section shows weakness in the casting, the inner side being only .125" thick. We have temporarily repaired it by fitting a sleeve, also we have asked Paris whether they can supply this type of manifold, if so to send us one down. We had some difficulty in procuring a piece of pipe to make the joint, consequently the car has been held up until midday to-day. We have now continued the mileage.
