⑨ The details will rest in the hands of the D.O. at this stage until such time as Mr. Bailey notifies the Operation Dept. that the part on which experiments are taking place, is "liable for standardisation". This information is given to the Exp. Dept. at the same time. ⑩ The Operation Dept. now receives the details, and arrangement from the D.O., and sets to work, in consultation with the Exp. Dept. and works, to evolve a thoroughly workable scheme of operations for manufacturing the parts on a production basis. The Operation Dept. should consult the works & Exp. Dept. on this matter because:- (a) The Exp. Dept. has already done the job, in small quantities. (b) The Works, represented say, by Mr. Bagnall, knows what machines are available.
