TELEPHONE Nº 38432. RWH/kdy 1300 Farnley Hall, Leeds. 1st. July 1939. Dear Sir, I am very much obliged to you for your letter of the 27th inst., via Roger Craster. It has been most interesting reading and I am glad the matter has been adequately dealt with at Hoffmann. I am hoping to call on Mr. Cooper during next week, and I will have a talk with him. I hope everything else is going well. We at Hoffmann are most anxious to do all we can to make parts as perfect as possible. I am most interested to hear that you were with my cousin Edward at the Pilgrims Way years ago. He is dead now, but his son continues to run a certain amount of work there. I believe it is small things connected with motor bicycles. My cousin was a very persistent person and having once taken up a thing did not like to drop it. He soon found out that his motor car which he started on was no good, but he stuck to it and succeeded in keeping the Pilgrims Way Works going. With many thanks for your letter, Believe me, Yours faithfully, PER PRO ROBERT ARMITAGE R.{Sir Henry Royce} W. Harvey Bailey Esq. Chief Engineer - Chassis, Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby. | ||
