Dear Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer},

Further to our conversation about M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Michelin's Bentley, and the front wing movement, this car is coming in to us on Tuesday next, as you will have gathered from the telegram I sent to you yesterday evening, and I am fairly certain that you will not be able to get the parts over in time.

However, as something must be done, I intend to fit the cross member and bumper bar which we have in stock, which were sent over for the tests some time back, and replacing the bumper bar by the standard production job as and when it arrives.

To do this, however, it will be necessary for you to be good enough to get us over by Air Mail some longer studs, as those delivered with the bumper bar are too short. Leslie could give you some dope on this point.

If you can manage this, we will satisfy our customer, and not have to send him back to Clermont-Ferrand with his wings dancing "la{L. A. Archer} sarabande".

Sincerely yours,

Wyman: Please send off by Air Mail this P.M.
