To HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Copy to EFC. X.4036 z EFC DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/CB16-8-20. In accordance with your request we send you herewith particulars of those springs which at the present moment you are bumping on the rig. "N" Scheme 391 shews two springs having a thick master leaf and upper leaves all of the same thickness but thinner than the main leaf. These have been designed in accordance with Mr Royce's suggestion set out in a memo to Mr Fawcett. The springs now being bumped are those received from Messrs Woodhead, made according to this drawing. We have since made out a complete set of springs of this type shewn on "N" Scheme 523, and shall shortly be issuing these to you for experiment.
