ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. 3 Customer's No. 19 wobble was still present. I made two further tests, with a view to ascertaining whether the strength of the springs in the side steering tube had any bearing on the subject, as follows:- (1) Packing washers were used behind the springs to increase their compression, & under these conditions the wobble, as far as ordinary driving conditions were concerned, had disappeared. It could be produced, but would not continue more than 10 or 12 yards, whereas previously it would continue as long as a light grip was held on the steering wheel. (2) The springs were removed from the Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
