To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. SKYHI HYDRAULIC JACK. MODEL NO.163. We have received a sample of the above Jack from Sales in order that we may examine and test it as being a suitable Jack for use on Phantom 11 cars, if customers require a Jack of this type. It has the following dimensions:- Minimum height = 6.5" Hydraulic lift (2 stage) = 5.5" Total extended height = 12.0" N.B. there is no initial hand adjustment on this Jack. The weight is as follows:- Jack = 13 lbs. 15 ozs. Handle = 4 lbs. 12 ozs. Total = 18 lbs. 11 ozs. The Jack is very well made and is very easy and simple to work, and is strong enough for use on Phantom 11 (its safe load is stated to be 1 1/2 tons). The weight is excessive, 8 lbs heavier than our standard Dunlop Super Jack (D.L.) The range of lift is insufficient to cope with the demands of either the Phantom 11 or 25 HP. car. We require a Jack that will give 7.5" mechanical (or hydraulic) lift, in addition to have an initial hand operated screw giving at least 2" extra range. The minimum height must not be greater than 6.5" (preferably 5.5"). Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. | ||
