I hope to arrive at Toulon (Grand Hotel) on the morning (say noon) of Dec. 15. Doddcan call here for a load on his way to Folkestone. I thought of asking Mr. Lovesey if he would go also to help me with the drawing, problems, letters, etc. but fear you cannot spare him: I will decide later (after Xmas). I hope to see you here again before we go. We can then discuss all the points we propose working upon while I am away, such as - +Already sent or nearly complete. (1) Phantom - more power & lighter ) Better induction (2) 20 HP. - more power, same weight) system. (3) +Front axle control - probable. (4) Parallel front axle - possible. (5) +Simplified sequence starter. (6) +Better bonnet fasteners & lock. (7) Substitute for autovac. - (a) Vacuum pump on engine (tested & found hopeful) (b) Induction vacuum drives petrol pump, has wiper fitted into service tank, so that pump is submerged, and requires no gland; cannot therefore leak petrol.
