Dear Sirs, We have just received advice from our Delco factory that Murphy, driving an 8-cylinder Miller engined Racing Car fitted with DELCO Coil Ignition, won the 500 miles IndiaProduction 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakesnapolis Race on May 30th., at an average speed of 94.48 miles per hour. The Ignition System on this Car and also on the Talbot Darracq, A.C., Leyland and other English Racing Cars at Brooklands and elsewhere is standard DELCO Equipment. In other words, the ordinary DELCO Coil Ignition is not only superior to competitive forms of ignition for easy starting, slow and even running and quick acceleration, but has also demonstrated its superiority in high speed operation and its reliability by winning the last five big long distance Races in England, France and America, at Brooklands, Le Mans and IndiaProduction 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakesnapolis. This is a record of performance of standard Ignition not held by any competitive make and it is available for your standard Car.
