London, N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr.H.R.Buckland.

Dear Sirs,

We confirm our telephone conversation of this afternoon regarding the A.T.Speedometer we have fitted to our Bentley chassis.

It was agreed that you would have made up for us a further speedometer with the revs per mile as nearly as possible [illegible] and with the scale reading 5% fast at 60 miles per hour and cumulatively increased to 6% at 100 miles per hour. You promised to deliver this instrument into our hands by Wednesday Morning the 7th., inst., certain. We will arrange to issue a covering order for this speedometer in due course.

We are also returning to you under separate cover an A.T.Speedometer No.G.227 also referred to in our telephone conversation which has a broken needle. We shall be glad if you will give this matter your attention and advise us as to the cause of the failure, at the same time having the instrument repaired and returned to us with all possible speed.

We are also sending to you with this speedometer a trip trigger which has fractured on one of these instruments. As referred to in our telephone conversation we consider the section of the spindle to be very fragile and we consider it could with advantage be strengthened up.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
