SECRET. To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sor. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Dn. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X. 5830. X. 5380. -X5380 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/KT.7.2.31. BODIES FOR 'JAPAN' III. Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}8/E.3.2.31., we are rather keen not to test these cars with subframes if they are not going to be used on the final car. We are not advocating the use of subframes at the moment. We still think it is possible to fit bodies at Derby that are not mounted with subframes. It only means a little more care in the manu-facture. We therefore recommend that 'Japan' III bodies which are ordered should be made without subframes. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
