81779 Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/MJ. 17th.October 1930. Messrs. Lendrum & Hartman, Ltd., Buick House, 26 b. & c. Albemarle Street, LONDON. W.1. For the attention of F.W. Hartman Esq. Dear Sir, Very many thanks for your letter of the 10th.inst. If you will let me know when you have further information about the 16 Cyl. CADILLAC, which is coming over from America, we can make arrangements to meet at Brooklands Track. Should the Maybach be available then, I shall be very pleased if you will try it with me at the same time. With regard to the possibility of us purchasing a 16 Cyl. Cadillac, this does not seem likely at the moment as Sir Henry Royce prefers the 12 Cyl. arrangement for technical reasons. We have, however, pointed out to Sir Henry that you would be prepared to consider the purchase of a Phantom 11 chassis should we want a Cadillac. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
