8" Static Deflection Springs, 850 lbs.Normal Load.
For Bent Front Pan, B.38.

The attached table gives particulars of front suspension springs suitable for the bent front pan, and giving a normal load of 850 lbs, and a rating corresponding to 8.00" static deflection. These are required for 11.B.V. and will probably prove suitable for 4.B.50 Cresta.

Owing to the low load it is possible to allow plenty of room for packing (0.5" maximum corresponding to 0.88" at the wheel) and still have a low maximum stress.
