To Mr. Hall from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} c. to EPC. ORIGINAL R2/B8:8:17. 3 Thank you for your laboratory report. I think it is excellent for you to send me a copy of one of these every week or once a month. The investigations of spring steels are very important. The wonderful strength of the two steels mentioned at spring temper suggests the possibility of parts which do not require machining (other than grinding after heat treatment) being left harder. To prove this, I should like specimens at spring temper tested on the Upton-Lewis machine. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
