re Steering.

We are now contemplating altering the steering on certain cars which have been delivered to customers. We must be careful in communicating with or talking to customers not to refer to the fact that we will fit a new steering but only to mention that we will make adjustments to their steering.

If it once becomes known that we are prepared to fit a new steering, free of charge, every owner of a RR car will come and insist on having this new steering. A rumour that the owner of a RR car can obtain some modification for nothing spreads more quickly than smallpox amongst chauffeurs.

Please inform every one in your Department accordingly.

BJ.
