For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Cotton.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of May 26th, ref. R/EJLC, I am afraid I cannot give you any definite date when your representative will be able to visit our Works for the purpose of testing your exhaust silencer.

At the time of writing I have not yet been able to allot a car for this particular job and therefore the silencer has yet to be fitted, but as soon as we can arrange to do this I will let you know. We have not shelved or forgotten it, but we are so frightfully busy generally that it is very difficult for us to do all the work we should like to do, and it becomes a question of fitting in the various jobs when we can.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
