To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 40/50 HP Springing. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E8.9.31

Thanks for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ.2.9.31. I should rather like to discuss when next at Derby the question of adjustability referred to.

By the way, you did not enclose the sketch referred to^in the 5th paragraph.

There is one point in my memo. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}18/E31.8.31 to which you did not reply and that was whether it would be possible to supply 58-GN with a pair of front hydraulic shock absorbers which would have similar damping characteristics to the back ones which were sent to me when I was away and thus do away with the necessity of Hartfords in front with the low rating springs.
