For Next Techical Conference at W. Lady Latham GLG-78. Extract from BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}10/WH25725. " There is a very noticeable exhaust boom at 30 miles an hour. I formed the impression that the fault was primarily in our chassis. The temporary driver Floyd had noticed this and had in consequence been driving at speeds of 28 or 32 miles an hour, at which the boom is absent. N. should deal with the exhaust boom. " The owner complained of headaches after being driven in this car by her previous chauffeur, which was probably because - 1. He seems to have made her nervous by his driving methods, 2. It would seem likely that he often carried out his instructions to drive at 30 miles an hour. " Owner has not had a headache after being driven by her temporary driver, who avoids that particular speed. Handwritten text: Wyman See me please. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Seen.
