To Mr. Walker, from R.{Sir Henry Royce} -2- R6/G29/8/21 Contd. of providing a spark gap in front of the plug, and so demanding less perfect insulation of the ignition plug. (5) It is fitted with a R.R. special feature of a trailing edge to the rotor, so that the engine can generally be started on the ignition only by moving the hand control, and there is no fear of the engine back-firing, should it be necessary to start the engine by hand. We do not know any system of ignition in which all these advantages are combined. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
