General

Some communications have rolled in from you en masse, which leave me holding so many babies at once, that I am embarrassed.

Cable No. 74 Tractors

I have made a list of likely ones -

Allis Chalmers Mfg. Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Caterpillar Tractor Co., Peoria, Illinois
John Deere Tractor Co., Waterloo, Iowa
International Harvester Co., Chicago, Illinois ("McCormick-Deering")
Minneapolis-Moline Power Implement Co., Tractor Division Minneapolis, Minnesota ("M-M" and "Twin City")

To get all the particulars will need some visits. However, will get out letters of inquiry right away.

Zeiss Equipment

With the connivance (but without the financial assistance) of the D.F.C., we have got our grips on the entire Zeiss equipment of the Reo factory. I attach summary of an interview with Delzell of the Ford Motor Company on the entire subject of Zeiss equipment. You will notice he is not impressed. We are trying to get the thing completely straightened out as to your requirements, before we ask the D.F.C. what they will take. Lack of available cash for a thing like this is worrying us.

Ford England

Are starting a man (Mr. Rinchols) on their tool chasing working out of Blackstone's office, but paid by Ford-Detroit. He starts Monday, with visit to Rockford and Milwaukee. I am supposed to meet him at D.F.C. in New York next week.

Rotol

We are trying to find better ways of cutting the taper thread in the wooden blade socket R.A. 2524 for Coverley. Leos-
