R.R. 65 (500 H) (S.E. 441. 22-1-18.) Bm. 2/212/18. X4338 Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BY11-P31.10.21. GOSHAWK II. RE CHASSIS BEING PRODUCED IN THE WORKS. The R.R. Electrical equipment for the above appears to be a long way off. So far as I can gather the only parts which have been definitely instructed experimentally are:- (1) A complete Motor. Instructions for this have only recently been completed and material is possibly not yet available. (2) Starter Switch for R.R. Motor. (3) The whole of the High Tension Battery Ignition consisting of:- a {Mr Adams} /- Ignition Coil. b/- Distributor. c/- Condenser. Can I discuss the whole question with yourself, EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} , and my Mr Robinson, with an idea of trying to come to some understanding of what can be done for the Goshawk chassis the Works are building, as it is evident that we must have some kind of a policy for the above, or the chassis will be held up.
