To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Roy{Sir Henry Royce}: Rg{Mr Rowledge}: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}: ///: 1770 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}5/T.19.1.28. Yesterday BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} gave me instructions to go ahead with 12 Continental Chassis and produce them as quickly as possible. Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} instruct the Works. I believe there are one or two patterns to make in connection with these, so the Pattern Shop should be told to go ahead with them. With reference to Tools, whilst it is essential, of course, to manufacture as cheaply as possible, this first 12 should not necessarily wait for the complete set of Tools; RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} has managed to get through three of them, and these 12 should be made on similar lines, but it might be possible, without any delay, to get a few additional Tools etc. to make them more quickly. This job is really very urgent. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} [Signature] | ||
