Meanwhile, while seeing Major Cox this morning at Conduit Street he told me that he was very disturbed over the tyre noise on a 4 1/2-litre Bentley in which he had a run within the last few days, and that he had written to Derby complaining of the noise. I need hardly tell you that we should be very pleased to co-operate in any way we can in helping you to overcome this; but I assume that the matter will not be dealt with until you return ? Please let me know as soon as you do. I have made it my business to make some rather careful enquiries amongst Bentley owners and retailers, and I have never encountered a complaint of tyre noise with the exception of that mentioned above.
