| X570 N4/L101111 REF 72(iii) November 10th 1911 Re Protection Of Petrol Tank Mr. Spinney 10-11-11 Will you please consider some scheme for the protection of petrol tank, as suggested in the following extract of letter from Mr. Johnson:- **"One of our cars in Paris has fitted to it an arrangement by which a spare tire is carried at the back of the petrol tank by two projecting brackets. The tire affords considerable protection to the tank. Itdoes not appear to get dirty. If only a stiff cross piece of thick wood could be inserted the protection would be fairly complete. The number could be painted on the cross piece and a small electric lamp could be affixed perhaps.Z N 533 | ||
