PRATT & WHITNEY COMPANY
W. Hartford, Conn.

In our report to you on the company, dated August 22, we mentioned that there was one 6 x 20 Type C Thread Milling machine, covered by Hickman's order FE-22, which was scheduled for shipment September 20, 1940.

We contacted this company on October 15 to obtain a confirmation of the shipment but have been advised that delivery has now been deferred until October 18, 1940.

In addition to the above-mentioned machine, we would like to report that this company has on schedule for Rolls-Royce, Ltd. one No. 3B jig boring machine. This happens to be the tenth machine on Buck and Hickman's order No. FE-266 to Pratt and Whitney.

There is a 30" rotary table to be supplied with this machine and is covered by Buck & Hickman's order No. FF-416.

This latter machine and rotary table were originally scheduled for shipment in July, 1940, but has been set back for delivery in December, 1940, due to interference of National Defense orders.
