Y7625 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. c. BY/RD. EFC2/T10.5.27 SEQUENCE STARTER MOTOR - NO.2. SCHEME. Further to our EFC2/T9.5.27, we wish to modify this instruction in such a manner that the negative end of the teazer winding is together with the mid-point of the teazer winding also brought out independently, so that we may make any connection of the teazer winding to the rest of the system which we desire to make for experiment. As I am leaving tomorrow afternoon to pay a visit to Mr. Royce, and would like to take this motor to show its functioning, I should be pleased if you would have this modification put through so that we may have time to carry out a previous test before taking the machine to R.{Sir Henry Royce} With the arrangement asked for, it will be possible to compare the standard connection with the various suggested experimental connections, and I shall be able to demonstrate to R.{Sir Henry Royce} humself the functioning of each arrangement. We would still like to have the armature for resistance measurement when first taken out, which will not take us more than a minute or two. EFC. | ||
