contd :- -2- (our old friend) and Shell compound (Ricardo's and WW's friend) We can then ascertain the percentage of fatty oil and their source. I have in mind a percentage of Sperm, or a percentage of Castor, or a percentage of Palm. These ideas are confirmed in cotton mill work where sperm is good but too dear. Mineral does not lubricate well enough so I understand. They cannot get along except with a compound spindle oil. Mr. Whitehead will I think get us some information from his various friends. Anyway I do not think (I have said this many times) that the A.M. specification and limitations should finish the possibilities and our knowledge on the subject. Therefore try relatively the value of straight mineral from various sources. Surely if we could shew that some compound oil would make for safer running the A.M. would be pleased with the information, or at least it would be of some value outside their work, such as H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} R.{Sir Henry Royce} or foreign orders. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
