Re. Experimental Cars.

Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}17/E2.4.31.

We expect to return the Phantom l car 110-DC. about next week. The delay with this car has been due to the difficulty of getting special springs from Messrs. Firths, the first set we received were not satisfactory and we had to return them for alteration.

With regard to the two left-hand cars, 25-EX. and 24-EX. Whilst we are in our present difficulties with Phantom ll booming complaints we should like to make use of these cars because we know now their individual characteristics. As soon as we can see daylight through this job we will be quite prepared to release one of these cars.
