1080 To Roy {Sir Henry Royce} , from Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std. c to G {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} /JWH. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.6/M.5.2.37. Will you please order from Messrs. John Marston Ltd. for experimental test purposes two Bentley radiator matrixes - one a standard Bentley matrix - the other a 52 MM Mrk. VI matrix with .005 waterway strip and .003 airway strip - with the bottom tanks attached by Messrs. Marstons as shown on Drg. (attached) The two standard cast bottom tanks should be forwarded to Marstons and they will dip solder the tanks to the matrixes at the same time as they dip them in manufacture. We are also returning to them a special Ph.III Mk.VI. matrix with .005" waterway strip and .003" Airway strip - the bottom angles of this matrix are incorrect owing to the production drawing being incorrect - this has now been rectified on the drawing and this matrix is to be rectified accordingly. We also wish it to have a bottom tank attached by Marstons to our Drawing E.88375 (att) as in the case of the Bentley matrices above mentioned - will you, therefore, send them a bottom tank for this purpose and an order for the work involved.
