X5660 To Sft{Mr Swift}/Mr. Brock. EFC3/T28.10.26. 20 HP. PRODUCTION DYNAMO NO. 84H. We have duly inspected and tested this machine. Electrically we find that it passes the production test satisfactorily, though only just so on the cutting-in, whereas, except for the last machine, we generally have some margin. We notice no constructional errors, but there is a very slight radial play in the driving end bearing. Also it was possible reasonably to tighten up the nuts securing the brush holders by 1/4" turns. Further, as has so often occured previously, the cover is fouled by the lock ring during removal. In other respects the machine is quite O.K. and we return it herewith. EFC. | ||
