Origin. To increase the period before re-lining is necessary.
Experimental Test Report.
The present lining has to be thrown away when half worn, or the rivet heads foul the drum.
The proposed lining will give 80% more life.
Road Test Report.
Run 10,000 miles on 23-EX. Now running 10,000 miles on 24-EX.
A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers.
B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.
