-3- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG22.9.26. for shunting, compared with the new type axle. Self centering is satisfactory, but not decisive with normal pivot lean. With the necessary friction in the steering it becomes very sluggish. The steering is bad for road shocks at all speeds. It is not very definite at high speeds, but cannot really be said to wander. It is bad for wobbles, being definitely worse than either 1. 3 or 4. This probably accentuates the impression of road shocks. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W.A. Robotham. | ||
